    Free classic literature! Authors include Aristotle, Charles Dickens, Plato and Oscar Wilde.

  • Dropbox
    Store, sync, and share files online and across computers. Access your Dropbox, download files for offline viewing, and sync photos and videos to your Dropbox from your mobile device.

  • Ebsco Mobile
    Using Ebsco Mobile you can search most of its research databases. Find articles on general topics (Academic Search Premier) or on specific subjects such as sociology (SocIndex), psychology (PsycArticles), literature (MLA International), and sports medicine (SportsDiscus).

    To access this database you will need to log on with your last name and ULV ID.

  • Evernote
    Create text, video, and audio memos. Search your notes and photos. Sync to Mac, PC and Web.

  • Google Book Search
    Search more than 1.5 million public domain books.

  • History: Maps of the World
    This app has high-resolution historical maps of the world from the 4th to the 20th centuries. Created by Seung-Bin Cho.

  • iSSRN
    Created by the Social Science Research Network (SSRN), iSSRN provides access to over 260,000 research papers in the social sciences and humanities. Articles can be emailed or viewed on the device.

  • Library of Congress

  • LibraryThing's Local Books
    Uses your current location to find bookstores, libraries, and book events in your area.

  • OECD Factbook 2010
    "Now, wherever you are, you have easy access to a comprehensive statistical picture of the world’s major economies from: OECD. The OECD Factbook is organised around 12 themes such as population and migration, macroeconomic trends, and globalization. Each indicator includes a table showing the latest available data for the 30 OECD countries.

  • Planets
    Uses current location to display detailed view of the sky. Provides location of the sun, moon, and planets; stars and constellation maps; and future and current moon phases.

    Search the research on medicine from the National Library of Medicine. This site also offers access to askMEDLINE, a consumer health reference source.

    Access your personal RefWorks account through your smartphone! Search for, view, edit, and organize citations for your research.
